27th/28th JUNE
This was another 50/50 weekend with 3 wins, 3 defeats and a draw.
The 1st team bowled Havant II out for 133 with a strong all round bowling performance led by Billy Taylor (4-14) and Oli Green (3-25). Billy Taylor scored 40 and Chris Wheeler 53* as we won by 8 wickets. The scores were very similar over on the Nursery ground where the 3rd's dismissed Havant III for 127 and made 128-3 in reply (sorry no more detail to hand at present). The third win came courtesy of the 4th XI against Penton who were restricted to 162-9 by another good consistent bowling performance. We reached the target for the loss of 4 wickets (Robin Lutman 37, Ashley Carter 39*).

It was a long hard day for the 2nd XI at Alton who rattled up 358-6, with Tom Burns best of the bowlers taking 2-59. We could only make 111 in reply, Steve Jones top scoring with 30. The Women's 2nd's played Alton on Sunday and also came off second best. For the Women's 1st XI Emma Bane top scored with 31 in a total of 102 against Twickenham who went on to win by 9 wickets.

The Sunday XI had a close match with Wood Green. Batting first we made 217-5 (Andy Ranger 23.......also batted I Watson 106, A Hughes 50*!!!!). Wood Green got very near to winning the match but finished up 7 runs short on 210-6.

SENIOR (AND NOT SO SENIOR!) TOUR
The annual tour to the West Country was blessed with perfect cricket weather this year and a good time was had by all. There were draws in the first match at Clyst Hydon and the closing game at Bradninch with a win inbetween against Shobrooke Park, where the highlight was a blinding catch by Dave Savage followed by his demonstration of the legendary cork and bottle trick during the evening celebrations.

U15 COLTS - COUNTY CUP FINAL
The U15 Colts played a very strong St Cross team in the final and were beaten by 30 runs or so. We have some very promising young players coming through and well done to all the team in reaching the last stage of the competition.
